Jamshedpur, July 31:Following the Howrah-Mumbai Mail accident that occurred between Rajkharsawan and Barabambo rail stations in the Chakradharpur Railway Division on Tuesday morning, 23 injured passengers were admitted to Chakradharpur Railway Hospital for treatment. On Wednesday, 11 of these passengers were discharged after their conditions improved and were taken home by their relatives. However, 12 injured passengers remained under treatment at the Railway Hospital. Health workers confirmed that the discharged passengers’ conditions had significantly improved. The remaining patients stated that the hospital was providing all necessary medical facilities.
Badal Kumar Das, a resident of Malda in West Bengal, who was still receiving treatment, expressed concern over a missing bag containing money and important documents that were lost in the accident. He was traveling from Howrah to Mumbai. Another injured passenger, Madhav Mandal, also reported leaving his bag inside the train during the incident and hoped for assistance from the Railway Administration in retrieving his belongings.
