With 97 %, Utkarsh tops Loyola in ICSE exam

: Loyola School students performed brilliantly in the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) results for both class XII and class X which were declared on Friday, May 6 at 3 pm.

The results have been announced two weeks earlier than previous years as the council for the first time used Live Ink Character Recognition (LICR) technology, which helped in fast compilation of results.

In ISC Class 12, Ananya Damodaran of arts stream was the school topper with 96.75 % marks followed by Adarsh Kumar of science stream with 96.5 % while Aishwarya Singh of commerce stream was the third school topper with 96.25 % marks.

The top three position in class 12 (science) was bagged by Adrash Kumar -96.5 %, Dishank Aryan and Shivam Agarwal-95.25 % were joint second while Bhavya Raj and Varun Nayar with 95 % were joint third topper.

The top three in ISC (Commerce) were Aishwarya Singh -96.25 %, Akshita Gupta -93.75 % while Debangana Ray -93.25 %.
Top three in ISC (Arts) were Ananya Damodaran-96.75 %, Vandana Likhmania-96 % while Akansha Kumar with 95.75 % was the third topper in arts.

In the class X examination this year, the top position was bagged by Utkarsh Lal with 97 per cent marks, Sumaiya Khanam was second with 96.8 per cent while Parag Mallik bagged the third spot with 96.4 % marks.

Principal of Loyola School, Fr. Sebastian Puthenpura said, ‘We were expecting a much better performance from the students but on the whole I am satisfied with the result and would like to improve it next year’.
