IPL Fan Park Charms the People of Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 24: IPL fan park was organized in the G- Town Club Ground, Bistupur in Jamshedpur on 22nd and 23rd of April.

The fan park was welcomed by tons of fans around the city. The event was enthralling for the citizens of Jamshedpur, and left an indelible mark on their minds.

The Fan Park usually organized over the weekends when the Indian Premier League has two matches in a day, tries to give the citizens a stadium like experience in cities which do not host IPL matches.

The Fan Park is a great initiative organized by the BCCI (Board of Control of Cricket in India) to promote the Indian Premier League.

In Jamshedpur, it was organized in association with the JSCA (Jharkhand State Cricket Association), and it wooed many fans in the steel city. The cricket fans in the city came in huge numbers to attend the event over the weekend, and enjoy the game of cricket on the giant screen.

On Saturday, Dhoni�s Masterclass won the match for the Super Giants against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, while the second match saw Mumbai Indians defending a low score to beat the Delhi Daredevils. On Sunday, the people saw Kings XI clinching a win over the Gujarat Lions, and Kolkata Knight Riders thrashing the Royal Challengers Bangalore in a very low scoring match.

The concept of the IPL fan park amused, entertained as well as gave the citizens to have a stadium like experience in their home town. People came from different areas of the city to enjoy the event. Jamshedpur hopes to host events of this stature more and more, so that the citizens can have a great time.

�With food, friends and the match on the big screen, it was like watching the match in an open theatre� said Shivam, one of the fan who came on Sunday.

Abhishek Roy, a student Kasidih High School suggested that if the Kenan Stadium cannot host IPL matches then the IPL fan park is the best substitute for it in Jamshedpur.

�It was an awesome experience, something I would remember for a long time. Things like the IPL Fan Park should happen more often in the city,� said Suraj Bhan Singh, an ex-student of Delhi Public School, who had come to be a part of this event.

�Something different happened in Jamshedpur for a very long time, it is a different concept which I enjoyed a lot. The only sad thing was seeing RCB lose in this manner� said Vivek Raj a fan of Royal Challengers Bangalore who was devastated seeing his team lose.

Many people thanked the Indian Premier League for bring such an important event to their city. The people had an experience of a lifetime witnessing those matches on the big screen.
