Jamshedpur, Aug 4: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East organised breastfeeding awareness session at Upgraded School in Kadma.
Former club President Rama Khanna informed about the benefits of breastfeeding for mother and child.
She said, “Breastfeeding is very important for the physical and mental development a child. It also protects mothers from uterine cancer, breast cancer and other diseases.”
On the occasion baby show contest was organized and prizes were distributed among most healthy child.
50 mothers and babies attended the programme.
Club President Archana distributed Horlicks among the mothers. Former Club President Rekha Jha and Secretary Madhumita Sanyal contributed in making the event successful. Neelima Prakash was also present.
