How the Murders Came to Light

The tragedy was uncovered after a married daughter living in Delhi grew suspicious when her repeated phone calls went unanswered. She alerted neighbours, who attempted to check on the family.

Victim Son

Ravindra Singh initially drove the neighbours away, but some residents eventually scaled the rear gate to enter the premises. They discovered the bodies and found the accused in an injured condition.

Unstable Mental State and Lack of Motive

Senior police officials, including ASP Rishabh Trivedi, are supervising the intensive probe. During preliminary questioning, Ravindra Singh reportedly claimed his “mental state is not sound” and failed to offer any clear motive for the massacre.

While investigators suspect a deep-seated family dispute, relatives told police there was no history of serious tension or prior conflict within the household. The accused also reportedly resisted handing over his mobile phone for forensic examination.

Current Status

A forensic team is currently processing the Agrico residence for evidence. Ravindra Singh is in police custody and has been formally arrested. Authorities are now waiting for autopsy reports and further interrogation to piece together the events that led to one of the most brutal crimes in Jamshedpur’s recent history.
