Jamshedpur, Oct 26: In anticipation of the upcoming assembly elections, authorities are conducting extensive raids against illegal liquor manufacturers and sellers across all six assembly constituencies. During recent operations, a significant haul was made, including 46.875 litres of foreign liquor, 45.05 litres of beer, and approximately 60 litres of illegal mahua distilled liquor from five illicit selling locations. Four individuals were arrested in connection with these raids, and legal proceedings are underway for violations of the Excise Act.

In a separate operation, approximately 4,200 kg of Java Mahua and 145 litres of liquor were seized from locations in Galudih, Ghatsila, and Barsol, Baharagora. An FIR has been lodged against the suspects involved.
The raid team consisted of Inspector Prem Prakash Oraon, Ramdas Bhagat from the Excise Department, and Sub Inspectors Ramdev Paswan and Om Prakash, along with Excise constables and Home Guard personnel.
