Jamshedpur, Oct 26: As Diwali and Chhath Mahaparva approach, District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal has initiated regular inspections of food establishments. During recent checks, samples of danedar sweets from Shaligram Sweets in Mango and mocha sweets from Indradev Mishthan Bhandar on Dimna Road were collected for testing. These samples will be sent to the State Food Testing Laboratory in Namkum, Ranchi, for analysis. Should any adulteration be detected, legal action will be pursued under the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006.

Food Safety Officer Mohammad Manjar emphasized the importance of maintaining hygienic conditions in kitchens and urged operators to ensure cleanliness to safeguard public health. Additionally, all food operators were advised to use food coloring only up to 100 ppm.
