Chandil, March 9: Ichagarh MLA Savita Mahato met Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday to demand government help to start the Chandil Hydroelectric project. She requested the CM to start the project implementation work at the earliest in the larger interest of the local population. She also requested the CM to regularize the services of workers engaged in the project work for more than 10 years. She said the CM had assured her to take prompt measures to fulfill her demands.
Mahato said the state Cabinet had given nod for restarting the salaries of all employees working under the said project.
