Chartered Accountants are economic backbone of the country: CA Kaushalendra Das
Jamshedpur, July 1: The Jamshedpur Branch of the Central India Regional Council (CIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated Chartered Accountants Day with great enthusiasm and reverence on July 1, organising a series of events that blended professional pride with community service.
The celebrations commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony at the Centre for Excellence, Jubilee Park premises, led by Branch President CA Kaushalendra Das. More than 50 members of the branch participated actively in the event.
Following this, a special programme titled ‘Salute the Stalwarts’ was held at the CFE Library to honour senior chartered accountants who have made significant contributions to the profession and society. Esteemed professionals CA Gopal Harlalka, CA Ram Singh, CA S.P. Agarwal, and CA R.K. Jhunjhunwala were felicitated for their exemplary service.
In his address, Branch President CA Kaushalendra Das stated, “Chartered Accountants are the economic backbone of the country. Their contribution to the development of the profession, society, and nation is invaluable. The profession is built on the pillars of honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct, which our members uphold with pride.”
The event was successfully coordinated by CA Rishi Arora, while CA Anand Agarwal delivered the vote of thanks.
In keeping with the spirit of social responsibility, the branch also organized a blood donation and dental check-up camp at Rajasthan Bhawan, Bistupur, in collaboration with the Marwari Yuva Manch – Tatanagar Achievers Branch. The camp saw overwhelming participation, with 153 units of blood collected.
Several chartered accountants, including CA Sugam Saraiwala, CA Anil Agarwal, CA Dayashankar, CA Ravi Gupta, CA Mukund Kedia, CA Rakesh Roshan Jha, CA Dheeraj Prasad, CA Pankaj Shagari, CA Abhishek Agarwal, CA Aditya Jajodia, CA Yogesh Sharma, CA N.K. Jain, CA Sanjay Goyal, and many others played a proactive role in the success of the initiative.
Concluding the day’s events, CA Kaushalendra Das extended heartfelt thanks to all members and remarked, “Chartered Accountants are not just financial experts; they are also committed to serving society with dedication and compassion.”
