Jamshedpur: A major emergency response was launched on Tuesday after an incident of a propylene gas leak from a tanker parked near the Jio petrol pump along the Baharagora-Baripada main road close to Jamshola. Acting swiftly on the alert, the district administration, under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, sealed off the area as a precautionary measure to prevent any mishap.
Traffic movement on the National Highway was completely stopped for a few hours, and vehicles were diverted to alternate routes to ensure the safety of commuters. Teams of technical experts and emergency responders rushed to on-site, working intensively to contain the leakage and neutralize any immediate risk.

Local residents were alerted, and precautionary messages were relayed continuously to keep the public informed. The administration emphasized that the situation is under strict surveillance and that every possible safety protocol is being enforced.
Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi urged citizens to cooperate fully with officials, avoid unnecessary travel to the area, and refrain from spreading or believing any rumours. “We request all residents to remain patient and calm. The administration is taking all necessary steps to safeguard public health and security,” he said in a statement.
