Jamshedpur, July 7: BJP national vice president and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das inspected the construction sites of 10, 728 houses under Prime Minister Awas Yojna (PMAY). In the course of his inspection, Raghubar Das said that during his tenure as the state’s Chief Minister sanction had been given for the construction of 9,592 houses in Birsanagar and 1,136 at Bagunhatu. He clarified that construction work had started but due to the indifference of the present Jharkhand government and some leaders, the work came to a standstill and the incomplete work had remained in the state since the past one and half years. Raghubar Das directed all BJP officials and party workers to keep a regular tag on construction work of the schematic houses. He also met local residents and asked about their problems.

Contract firm, JUDCO is executing the construction work under the supervision of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee. Among those who accompanied Raghubar Das during the inspection included BJP Mahanagar president Gunjan Yadav, general secretary Rakesh Singh, Bhupendra Singh, Boltu Sarkar and others.
