House in Shastri Nagar catches fire due to Short Circuit

Giridih: Last night, a residence in Shastri Nagar, within the jurisdiction of the Nagar police station, experienced a fire outbreak attributed to a short circuit. The incident sparked a commotion in the vicinity, leading nearby residents to rush to the scene and attempt to extinguish the flames.

The fire brigade and city police were alerted about the situation. Unfortunately, by the time the fire brigade arrived, approximately Rs 3 lakh worth of property, including a TV, bed, clothing, and cash, had been reduced to ashes. The sole occupant of the house during the incident, Kalpana Mishra, recounted being alone at home on the fateful Friday night when the fire erupted due to a short circuit. Smoke and flames quickly ensued, prompting her to evacuate the premises and seek help from neighbors. Despite two hours of collective efforts from locals, significant property damage occurred.
