Hill Top School and DBMS English School join hands with Chinese schools

Jamshedpur : Two ICSE schools in the city Hill Top School and DBMS English School have joined hands with Chinese schools to foster collaboration in the field of education.

Hill Top School has partnered with No.1 High School of Chenggong District, in Kunming, Yunnan. The principal of the school is Hu Xiang. Similarly, DBMS English School tied with withXishan High School of Kunming No 1 High School. The school is headed by principal Gao Fuying.

The principals of Hill Top School and DBMS English School Puneeta Chouhan and Rajani Shekhar respectively were part of the delegation of Indian high school principals to China. The visit was arranged and co-organised by the Chinese Consulate and the School of Chinese Language in Kolkata.

The 11-member delegation, led by C Saraff, Principal of the School of Chinese Language in Kolkata, comprised principals of schools from Kolkata, Bhubaneswar and Jamshedpur.

Ma Zhanwu, consul general of the People’s Republic of China in Kolkata, met the delegation of Indian School Principals to give a briefing on the arrangements for the delegation�s visit to China. Deputy Consul General CaiZhifeng, Consul Zhang Jing and Consular Attache Chen Ankai were also present.

Sharing her experiences, Chouhan said that the Chinese schools are all high on strength exceeding 2500 students. All Chinese partner schools are coeducational, covering senior classes of VII to XII.

� Our trip was memorable one. It trip included visits to partner schools to catch a few glimpses of their educational pattern as well as to work out the details of the students’ exchange programme. One of the highpoints of the trip was the visit to the scenic Dali University to interact with the faculty and students,� she noted.
