Jamshedpur, Jan 2: In view of the Prakash Parv celebrations marking the birth anniversary of the tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh , the Jamshedpur administration has announced special traffic arrangements in the city on Sunday, January 4.
The measures have been put in place to ensure public safety, smooth traffic flow, and the peaceful conduct of religious events.
As per the official order, the movement of all heavy vehicles will remain completely prohibited within Jamshedpur city from 5 am to 11 pm on January 4.
However, passenger buses have been exempted from this restriction to avoid inconvenience to commuters.
During this period, trucks, hyvas, trailers, and other heavy goods vehicles will not be allowed to enter the city.
The administration stated that special religious congregations, Nagar Kirtans, and other events will be organized at various gurdwaras across the city, which are expected to draw a large number of devotees.
Anticipating increased traffic pressure due to these gatherings, the decision was taken as a precautionary measure.
Traffic police personnel will be deployed in additional strength at major intersections, around gurdwaras, and in high-footfall areas.
Proper traffic guidance and diversion arrangements will also be ensured.
The administration has appealed to citizens to avoid unnecessary use of private vehicles, opt for alternative routes where possible, and strictly follow traffic police instructions.
