Hailstorm causes damage in Chaibasa

Chaibasa: The weather in Gua, Barajamda, and Kiriburu changed drastically on Tuesday afternoon as intermittent rain, strong winds, and hailstorms brought relief from the scorching heat. Starting around 3:30 PM, thick black clouds covered the sky, and cold winds significantly dropped the temperature, making the atmosphere pleasant.

In Barajamda, a sudden strong storm accompanied by heavy rain and hailstorm caused significant damage. Powerful winds broke tree branches at multiple locations and damaged temporary structures in open areas. The tin shed of the Bhog kitchen near temple, located near Nuiya village on the Uraguwa-Manoharpur route, was blown away by the storm, leaving local residents concerned.

The minimum temperature for the day was recorded at 20 degrees Celsius, while the maximum reached 33 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain is expected in the coming days, which will likely continue to provide relief from the heat.
