Stage set for Chaitra Chhath Puja at Surya Mandir Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: All preparations for Chaitra Chhath Puja at the Surya Mandir in Sidhgora have been finalized, ensuring a smooth and convenient experience for devotees. The Surya Mandir Committee has made special arrangements focusing on cleanliness, security, and essential services for worshippers.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, Surya Mandir Committee Chairman Bhupendra Singh informed that all arrangements have been completed under the guidance of Chief Patron and former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, along with Patron Chandragupta Singh. The two ponds within the temple premises have been thoroughly cleaned and filled with pure water, while the temple has been adorned with colorful lights and attractive floral decorations.

To facilitate devotees, special service camps have been set up. On Friday, the day of the morning Arghya, raw cow milk, incense sticks, tea, and drinking water will be provided. On Thursday, during the evening Arghya, cold refreshments such as Sharbat will be distributed among the devotees.

A large number of devotees are expected to gather at Surya Mandir for Chhath Puja, and in anticipation, security arrangements have been made foolproof. Local administration officials, along with temple committee members and hundreds of volunteers, will be deployed to ensure safety and order.

Chairman Bhupendra Singh stated that devotees will offer Arghya to Lord Bhaskar at the ghats following a ‘first come, first serve’ system. Additionally, a medical camp and changing rooms have been set up within the temple premises to provide further convenience to fasting individuals.
