Gulmohur High School Jamshedpur students recognised for outstanding achievements

Jamshedpur, April 27: Gulmohur High School celebrated the achievements of its students at the Effort Appreciation Ceremony held on April 27, 2024. The event aimed to recognize the hard work, dedication, and success of students from classes VI to IX and XI.

Prantik Chakraborty, Deputy General Manager, Communication Tata Motors, Jamshedpur, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, along with members of the school’s managing committee. Students were applauded for their outstanding performance throughout the academic year 2023-24, not only in academics but also in co-curricular activities and their overall conduct.

Various categories of awards were presented, including the Topper Award for exceptional academic achievement in subjects like English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. Additionally, awards were given for discipline, empathy, participation in co-curricular events, and skill presentations in Art and Craft. A special recognition was extended to the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) Sports Champions, who brought pride to the school with their achievements in sports such as Yoga, Swimming, and Basketball at the National Level.

The ceremony was enriched with a cultural program featuring captivating dance performances by the Dance Activity Club students and a melodious medley titled “Gulmohur Dreamers” by the school choir.

The top-performing students of the year were acknowledged as follows: Class 6: Vaibhav Anand, Class 7: Sashreek Dey, Class 8: Shubhomita Das, Class 9: Sanwita Maiti, and Class 11: Vaibhav Karn. Mr. Prantik Chakraborty commended the “Young Achievers” and praised the school for its innovative teaching methods, including Critical Thinking and Experiential Learning.

The event’s success was attributed to the visionary leadership of Principal Priti Sinha, Vice Principal Archana Srivastava, and the dedicated efforts of faculty members, led by Jaswinder Kaur and Gargi Mukherjee.
