GST day seminar at Jamshedpur Women’s University 

Jamshedpur, July 10 : Vijay Govindarajan of BBA Club successfully organized GST Day at Audio-Visual Room of Jamshedpur Women’s University.

He discussed about the uniformity of GST which would meet the needs of the manufacturer and the consumer. Dean and Head Deepa Sharan, discussed the importance of GST in the modern Indian market.

Then later CVC Annapurna Jha discussed about different slabs of GST and importance of GST.

Talks was held about the leakage proof system that GST has ensured.

Chief guest Yogesh Kumar Agarwal discussed how GST reduces the burden of taxes and ensures compliance of tax payments. He said that GST ensures an automated ecosystem of tax and people are more integrated after the implementation of GST.

The advantages of GST that he discussed were, Uniformity of Taxes where he explained that GST ensures that the indirect tax rates and structures are uniform across India. On removal of cascading, he said that a system of seamless tax credits across the value chain, across the borders of states, would ensure that there is minimum cascading of taxes.

 His view on improved competitiveness was that the reduction of transaction costs of doing business would ultimately lead to improved competitiveness for trade and industry.
