Grand welcome awaits Shahidi Jagriti Yatra in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Guru of the Sikhs, Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, along with Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Diyala, will witness a holy stop of the Shahidi Jagriti Yatra at Sakchi Gurdwara Maidan on September 25.

On this occasion, Guru Sahib’s Palanquin will reach Sakchi at 10 am, where the Sangat will welcome it with devotion and reverence. The Sakchi Gurdwara Prabandhak  Committee has made elaborate preparations to ensure the Sangat gets the good fortune of darshan and service. Refreshments will be provided at the ground, while in the afternoon, Guru Ramdas Langar Hall at Sakchi Gurdwara will serve langar for devotees.

Committee President Nishan Singh informed that the yatra, which began from Takht Shri Harminder Sahib, Patna, will halt for half an hour at Sakchi Gurdwara Ground. Proper arrangements for the accommodation of Panj Pyare, Singh Sahibans and accompanying pilgrims have also been made.

Earlier, a delegation from Sakchi Gurdwara, including Trustees Satnam Singh Sidhu and Rabinder Singh, Naujwan Sabha President Rohitdeep Singh, General Secretary Jaswinder Singh Moni, Sukhmani Sahib Jatta Chief Bibi Raj Kaur and members of Stree Satsang Sabha, had appealed to the Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) to allow the yatra to halt at Sakchi. Responding to this emotional request, CGPC President Bhagwan Singh, Chairman Gurmeet Singh, General Secretary Amarjit Singh and Gurcharan Singh Billa approved the proposal.

Following the approval, a special meeting of the Sakchi Gurdwara Prabandhak  Committee was held where detailed preparations for the reception were finalized. Senior members including Satnam Singh Sidhu, Paramjit Singh Kale, Khajan Singh, Randhir Singh, Satinder Singh Romi, and many others participated actively.

Special guidelines have been issued to members of the Stree Satsang Sabha, Sukhmani Sahib Jatta and Naujwan Sabha to ensure smooth arrangements for the Sangat. “This is a matter of pride for Sakchi,” said senior member Paramjit Singh Kale, adding that the Palanquin Sahib will be welcomed with great reverence, decorated arches and floral showers from Deyodhi Sahib.
