Jamshedpur: At an age when most students are busy preparing for examinations, a Class X student of Loyola School, Jamshedpur, has proved that determination and passion can achieve what even experience sometimes cannot. Fifteen-year-old Madhavi Jawanpuria took on the responsibility of coordinating a Free Health and Eye Checkup Camp organised by the Tribal Welfare Trust at Dalbhanga, Kuchai High School Ground on September 21, 2025.
For three months before the event, Madhavi worked tirelessly, spreading the message among villagers, coordinating with doctors, and overseeing preparations. Her commitment ensured that the camp became a historic success. On the day of the event, thousands of villagers came forward to avail themselves of the health and eye checkup facilities. Specialist doctors from Ranchi and Purnima Eye Hospital provided consultations, while several patients suffering from eye ailments were referred to Purnima Netralaya for operations.
The initiative received praise from several quarters. Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda lauded the young student’s dedication, remarking that health is the greatest asset in life and the responsibility fulfilled by Madhavi at such a young age is an inspiration for all. Trust Secretary Dr. Abhishek Munda also commended her contribution, calling her an inspiration for the next generation whose hard work and sincerity had given the camp a new identity.
The Dalbhanga health camp has shown that age is no barrier to leadership and social service. By taking up a responsibility of this scale and executing it successfully, Madhavi Jawanpuria has set a shining example for young people everywhere. Her story highlights how passion and service can combine to create meaningful change, even from the hands of a teenager.
