Jamshedpur: The seventh anniversary of Govindpur Passenger Halt will be celebrated with fervour on 23rd February.
A cake cutting ceremony will be organized in the morning. The chief guest of the programme will be Vidyut Varan mahato, MP of Jamshedpur.
The divisional railway manager of Chakradharpur rail division has also been invited to the event. The decision to organize the event was taken at a meeting of Govindpur Station Nirman Samiti held on Sunday.
Zila Parishad members have also been invited to the programme.
Presiding over the meeting, Shaldeo Sah, president of the Samiti said a demand for giving the status of a railway station to Govindpur will be raised before the railway authorities in view of the hike in revenue collection.
