Seraikela: Illegal mining of sand continues to take place in Seraikela-Kharsawan notwithstanding the instructions of the district administration.
The deputy commissioner Ramesh Gholap had recently held a meeting with the district mining officer and directed him to take stringent action against illegal miners.
Despite clear instructions of the DC, the local police authorities in Seraikela and Rajnagar have failed to tighten noose around the sand mafia members.
