Jamshedpur, Jan. 29: Students of Govind Vidyalaya, Tamulia, visited the old age home and orphanage at Baradwari on Friday.

The visit was organized under the aegis of Interact Club and Jyoti Club of the school. The event aimed at making the students understand the fact that education teaches the society to take onus of responsibilities out of which caring for our parents and elderly is the hallmark of a civilized society.

The Interact Club and Jyoti Club members from Std.VII to Std. XI made a genuine effort to make the elderly people of the home and orphans feel good. It was evident that at this stage of their life, these people longed for nothing more than love, care and affection.

One of the students commented that after all what goes around, comes around. If we treat the elderly with respect, our children will render the same treatment to us, he said.

The team was escorted by teachers Samir Banerjee, Dharmendra Sharma, Debjani Banerjee and Binodini Nayak.
