Ganja seized from Kurla Express at Tatanagar Railway Station

Jamshedpur, May 9:  In a recent operation conducted by the Railway Police at Tatanagar Railway Station, ganja valued at approximately Rs 3.45 lakh was seized from the Kurla Express train. Acting on confidential intelligence, a joint team comprising the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducted the raid.

The tip-off indicated that an individual occupying seat number 9 in bogie B of the train was in possession of ganja. Promptly responding to the information, the Railway Police, assisted by Bagbera and Parsudih police, initiated the raid. Through coordinated efforts, law enforcement recovered two briefcases and a bag, uncovering a stash of approximately 17.25 kilograms of ganja.

The estimated value of the seized ganja is around Rs 3.45 lakh. The seat in question was reportedly reserved under the name of Firoz Ansari. The police are actively investigating the identity and whereabouts of Firoz Ansari, who is currently being sought after. Witnesses at the scene reported that upon noticing the police’s approach, the individual associated with the seat hastily abandoned the bag and absconded. Efforts are ongoing to locate and apprehend Firoz Ansari in connection with the incident.
