Jamshedpur, May 9: A tragic incident unfolded in the Golmuri area of Jamshedpur, where a father’s courageous stand against the molestation of his daughter led to a violent attack. The victim, Amrit Singh, had been enduring the torment inflicted by a tempo driver named Saurabh Ansari for an extended period.
According to eyewitnesses, Saurabh Ansari had been harassing Amrit Singh’s daughter during their daily commute. A month ago, he had even physically assaulted her when she resisted his advances. On Thursday evening, around 7 PM, the daughter stepped out of her house to run errands when Saurabh once again targeted her.
Amrit Singh, accompanied by his friend Chhotu Ansari, confronted the molester. In a shocking turn of events, Saurabh retrieved a wrench and a screwdriver from his vehicle and launched a fatal attack on Amrit Singh. Severely injured, Amrit was rushed to MGM Hospital for medical treatment.
The assailant fled the scene amidst the chaos caused by the attack. As of now, the police have not been notified, but authorities are actively investigating the incident. Saurabh Ansari has been apprehended, and justice will be sought for this heinous crime against a concerned father who stood up for his daughter’s safety.
