Jamshedpur, Jan. 29: To commence the Kumbhabhishek rituals scheduled for 7th February, Ganapati havan was performed at Sri Dharma Saastha Temple in Bistupur on Wednesday, January 29 morning. Nine ved Pandits, led by Vijay Bhanu, who arrived here from Chennai, Kerala and Mumbai conducted the proceedings. After Ganapati havan, Navagraha havan was also performed. Later on amidst Vedic chanting, purnahuti was conducted by the ved Pandits, maha deeparadhana was shown to the deities. Prasad was distributed to devotees by the members of managing Committee. In the evening, the deities of Lord Ganesh, Lord Karthik and Lord Dharma Saastha were placed on paddy (dhan) which will kept for two days after which they will be immersed in water.� After this ritual, Moola mantra jap was chanted and Ashtadik bali puja was performed. Under the supervision of PN Sankaran, Working President of the Temple all the rituals were organized successfully.
