Former CGPC Chief Gurmukh Singh Mukhe granted bail by Supreme Court in Rape Case

Jamshedpur: In a significant development, former CGPC chief Gurmukh Singh Mukhe, accused of rape and unnatural sex by a woman from Kadma Ulyan, has been granted bail by a division bench of Supreme Court Justices Hrishikesh Roy and Abhay S Oka. The case, filed on November 5, 2022, alleged serious charges against Mukhe, leading to his arrest.

The defense counsel presented a compelling argument before the court, highlighting the woman’s history of filing similar cases against three to four individuals in the past. The defense contended that the woman has a pattern of trapping prominent members of society and extorting money from them. This information played a crucial role in persuading the court to grant bail to Gurmukh Singh Mukhe.

Advocates Pallavi Pratap, KM Singh, and Vansh Sablok represented the defense side during the court proceedings. On the other hand, Advocates Jayash Gaurav, Nandani Rai, and Deeksha Ojha were present on behalf of the victim.

The decision to grant bail comes as the legal process unfolds, and both sides present their arguments.
