Jamshedpur : In a shocking incident, a five-and-half-year-old girl who had gone to relieve herself was raped in a bush at Chhotagovindpur under suburban Govindpur police station area early Sunday morning.
The child’s parents along with local residents rushed her to MGM Medical College Hospital where she was operated.
The surgeon who carried out the surgery on the child said they had to make five stitches at her private part.
” It is really horrifying incident. She is out of danger. But the victim will have to stay at the hospital under observation for the next two days,” said a doctor.
An official of MGM Medical College Hospital, said that the victim was subjected to the surgery she was conscious, but they had to administer anasthesia for carrying out the surgery.
The victim’s father who is a truck driver said that they have toilet at their house, but his daughter had to go outside as it was occupied. ” We are in state of shock and I did not know that there are such criminals who would commit such heinous crime.
I have lodged an FIR with the Govindpur police and it is the duty of the police to nail those involved,” said the father. The father said his daughter reads in class one at a government-run school here in Govindpur.
