Jamshedpur: JRD Tata Sports Complex recorded a turnout of over 23,913 on Sunday as it hosted the second match of the Indian Super League. Jamshedpur FC played against the FC Pune City in front of the jam packed galleries.

Football fans started queuing up at the stadium in Bistupur well before 3 pm. Crowd cheered for the home side that was unlucky to register their first loss of the league.

“The match is almost a sold out and I am lucky to have got the ticket on the eve of the match. I can’t say how excited I am as now I will cheer for Jamshedpur FC from inside the stadium as I had to watch the first match on the TV as I didnt got the tickets’, said Rahul Sakuja, a college student who is studying at Pune and is on a vacation to his hometown.

Girls seemed more excited and were spotted buying the JFC jersey, head gears outside the stadium and clicking selfies.

JFC t-shirts were also selling like hotcakes as citizens in large number specially the school students were spotted buying the jersey from vendors outside the stadium.

The craze for the second home match of JFC escalated after the Tata Steel owned franchise registered its maiden win against the Delhi Dynamos in the national capital on December 6.

The ticket sale was on the slow side till before the match against the Delhi Dynamos but ever since the victory more than ten thousand tickets were sold in the space of three days.
