Jamshedpur, Oct 20: Jharkhand is set to establish its first research park at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Jamshedpur, following the approval from the Board of Governors (BOG) during its 64th meeting chaired by Prof. TN Singh. The board has sanctioned a Detailed Project Report (DPR) worth ₹35 crore for the park’s Phase-1 construction. This initiative aims to foster research on various technologies while offering significant benefits to local industries.
The research park will serve as a hub for innovative studies, focusing particularly on industrial development technology. With a vision to facilitate advanced research, the park will not only enable new research endeavors but also help transform innovative ideas into tangible products. The establishment of this park is expected to catalyze the development of startups and enhance the overall research environment in the state.
In addition to its focus on industrial applications, the research park will play a pivotal role in promoting entrepreneurship among students.
