FIR against DBMS School Jamshedpur teacher accused of corporal punishment 

Jamshedpur, November 21: The case of corporal punishment to an eighth class student by a teacher in DBMS High School Kadma is now gaining prominence.

The parents of the victim student Dilshad Alan have lodged an FIR against teacher Ajay Rai in Kadma police station in this case. After this, the police of Kadma police station has started investigating the case.

The parents of the student had also made a written complaint to District Education Superintendent cum Nodal Officer District RTE Cell Nishu Kumari.

The investigation of the matter has been handed over to the concerned REO (regional education officer). After the receipt of the REO report, the District Education Superintendent’s office has said that necessary action will be taken at the departmental level.

Dilshad Alam is a student of class 8C in DBMS High School Kadma. Some students were talking among themselves in the class. On this the teacher asked him to remain calm. Despite this, some students who were sitting around Dilshad kept talking. On this the teacher asked Dilshad to keep quiet, then he said that he was not talking. On this, the teacher first scolded him, then when he was told not to talk again, he slapped him twice and then beat him mercilessly.

 In the FIR, the student’s parents have said that due to the beating, Dilshad had to be taken to a doctor. Since then he is undergoing treatment.
