Ex-servicemen celebrate Kargil Day in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 26: Members of Akhil Bharatiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad, Jamshedpur, celebrated Kargil Victory Day with fervour at Golmuri Shaheed Sthal on Tuesday.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Anil Sinha, general secretary of the outfit, said the programme was dedicated to the martyrs of Kargil War who had sacrificed their lives for the country and their family members. The people of this country are forever indebted to the brave soldiers who fought the Kargil War courageously and ensured India’s victory over Pakistan, he said.

The former soldiers and other dignitaries present on the occasion paid floral tributes to the 526 Kargil War martyrs. Ex-Navy serviceman Amarnath Dhoke who returned from Drass (Kargil), was the convener of today’s programme. The programme was chaired by Tapas Majumdar.
