Jharkhand Govt Transfers 39 DSP-Rank Police Officers

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Government on Tuesday reshuffled the state police administration by transferring 39 police officers of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) rank across various districts and units of the state.

The notification was issued by the Home, Jail and Disaster Management Department. According to the order, the transferred officers have been directed to assume charge at their new places of posting with immediate effect until further orders.

Several important districts, including Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh, Chatra, Giridih, and Saraikela-Kharsawan, witnessed key administrative changes. A number of probationary DSPs were also assigned new responsibilities in traffic, cybercrime, law and order, and subdivision-level policing.

Among the notable postings, Neeraj Kumar has been posted as DSP, Hatia, while Deepak Kumar has been appointed DSP, Bero. Manoj Kumar has been transferred as DSP (Headquarters-2), Jamshedpur, and Sanjeev Kumar-1 has been posted as DSP (Town), Jamshedpur.

Similarly, Sumit Kumar has been made DSP (Law and Order), Jamshedpur, while Vikas Anand Laguri has been appointed Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Ghatshila.

In Ranchi, several officers have been assigned responsibilities in traffic management, cybercrime, and headquarters operations. Dhanbad and Bokaro districts also received multiple new DSP-level postings aimed at strengthening policing and administrative efficiency.

The reshuffle is being seen as part of the state government’s efforts to improve law enforcement, administrative coordination, and policing efficiency across Jharkhand.
