Jamshedpur: World Earth Day was observed with enthusiasm by Eco Club members and students of Hill Top School.
The event started with a speech by Ayati Mishra of Class X in honour of the precious and significant elements and gifts given to mankind by �Mother Earth� which include water, air, living organisms and natural resources.
Due to deforestation, global warming and ozone depletion, planet earth is facing a crisis of existence, the speaker said.
This was followed by a Group Song �Hawae Path pani Per Jungle Sabse Sona Hai� by the Music Club of Hill Top School. Leaflets, ‘Segregation of Waste, was released by the Principal, Puneeta B Chouhan who gave a speech relating to saving Mother Earth.
Thereafter a skit was presented by students of classes 7, 8 & 9. The slogan for the skit was �Save Trees, Save Earth�. The programme ended with the school song.
