Awareness walk marks �Earth Day� Jusco School, Kadma

Jamshedpur, April 22: For making the students aware about the importance of Mother Earth, Jusco School, Kadma celebrated Earth Day at its premises on Friday.

The theme was �Waste Literacy and Management’. The celebration started with an awareness walk by the students of class VI to IX (green warriors) to spread the message of keeping the Earth green and clean.

The students also took pledge to save the Earth. An embroidery competition by the girls with different environmental logos and toy making competition out of waste by the boys was also organized.

On this occasion Motheelavati, former teacher of Loyola School and Ms. Nibha Mishra were present as judges. A cultural programme was also organized. A song save environment and a dance was presented by the students.

The celebrations ended with plantation of trees by the students.

The programme was made successful by the Principal Ms. Jhumjhumi Nandi, vice Principal, Ms. Anindita Roy, Sr. Co-ordinator Qamar Ali, Jr. co-ordinator Seema Tiwary and the teachers of Eco club, Ms. Yogita Singh, Ms. Aakanksha Singh, Ms. Aatrayee, Ms. Pooja, Ms. Sai, Ms. Sumita Mukherji, Abhishek and Ms. Madhurma.
