Jamshedpur, Nov 17: District Transport Officer (DTO) of East Singhbhum Dinesh Ranjan launched a surprise vehicle inspection drive at Mango bus stand on Thursday.
During the campaign, a total of 37 buses were inspected by the DTO and other officials. According to the officials, the papers of 12 buses were not updated. Also, 12 buses were not fitted with speed governors.
The DTO said speed governors should be installed in all the buses to ensure they run within the prescribed speed limit, especially during night. He said those buses whose owners do not have updated documents would be blacklisted.
