Seraikela, Feb 14: A 22 year-old woman, Rajani (name changed), was rescued by the district administration officials and finally sent to her home on Monday.
Sources said the woman was found in a state of depression on 10th February last. The woman was walking alone on the road in Asanbani under Gamharia police station area and was unable to speak about her plight. She was reportedly driven out of her matrimonial house by her husband. Local police officials took her to the one stop centre at the district headquarters where arrangements were made for her food and stay. A search was soon launched for her relatives. After some days, the woman’s parents were located in the same district.
District social welfare officer Shipra Sinha directed the child conservation officer Santosh Thakur and Red Cross secretary Devadhidev Chatterjee to take Rajani to her parental home. Rajani
was happy on meeting her parents again, sources said.
