Gamharia, March 27: The Fitness Club of XITE College Gamharia organised mixed doubles badminton tournament on Sunday.
Total of 48 players of the college participated in the tournament organized in two phases under the guidance of XITE Principal Dr (Fr.) E.A. Francis SJ.
In the final match of the tournament Dennis Lakra and Mehul Aman Raj were declared joint winners while runners-up award went to Allen Kerketta and Pitambar Kumar. The audience thoroughly enjoyed this interesting final match. Earlier, Principal of the college inaugurated the tournament while the tournament was supervised by the fitness club mentors Prof. Shailesh Kumar Dubey and Prof. Amit Chaturvedi. On this occasion Father Savari, Amalraj, Dr. Sanchita Ghosh Choudhary, Dr. Partha Priya Das, Prof. Nishit Singh, Prof. Sushmita Chaudhary Sen, Dr. Pompey Das Sengupta, Dr. Bharti Varshney, Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh, Radha Mahali, Prof. Shalu Kant, Naval Narayan Choudhary and volunteers of the fitness club were present.
