Death due to sudden cardiac arrest can be prevented: Dr. Abhay Krishna

Jamshedpur, May 20: Heart and artery related disease is considered the most deadly which takes 17.5 million every year.

Hypertension is a major risk components which leads to untimely death of a person suffering from these diseases and it can be prevented during sudden cardiac arrest.

The death related to heart diseases, high blood pressure or hypertension contribute to half of the deaths and with increase in every 10 point in diastolic pressure the risk doubles, said, Dr. Abhay Krishna, DM cardiologists and senior doctor Dr. Bimlendu Kumar on the occasion of World Hypertension Month celebration by Brahmananda Narayana Multispecialty Hospital, Tamolia. The programme aimed to make people aware about hypertension.

Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by senior doctors at a Sakchi based hotel. The theme of the programme was ‘Know Your blood pressure number’.

Present at the event were Dr. Abhay krishna, Dr. Bimlendu Kumar, Dr. A Wahid Khan, Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Dr. RN Rai and Dr. Ashwini Jaiswal.
