DDC reviews welfare department schemes, issues key directives

Jamshedpur: In a comprehensive online review meeting chaired by Deputy Development Commissioner Shri Manish Kumar, the status and progress of various schemes under the Welfare Department were evaluated. The meeting, attended by Block Development Officers (BDOs), Circle Officers (COs), Block Welfare Officers, ITDA personnel, Assistant Engineers (AEs), and Junior Engineers (JEs), featured discussions and directives related to critical projects, including Dhumkudiya construction, Jahersthan development, Beneficiary Committees, Housing Schemes, and Cemetery Gheran.

The Deputy Development Commissioner emphasized the importance of expeditiously completing pending works related to Dhumkudiya projects. He instructed the Block Development Officers and Circle Officers to accelerate construction efforts and ensure the swift conclusion of these projects.

Addressing the formation of beneficiary committees, he urged their prompt establishment and emphasized the necessity of clearly specifying the roles of committee members, including the president, secretary, and treasurer. Furthermore, he stressed the timely opening of bank accounts for these beneficiary committees to facilitate the implementation of approved schemes.

Regarding Jahersthan, the Deputy Development Commissioner urged the swift completion of tasks such as fencing, painting, and repairs, underscoring the significance of enhancing the facility’s condition. He also directed officials to expedite Birsa Housing projects and emphasized the timely completion of work related to cemetery fencing.

Deputy Development Commissioner Shri Manish Kumar underscored the need for effective coordination among officials, officers, personnel, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely and successful execution of ongoing Welfare Department schemes. He made it clear that any lapses or negligence in implementing these schemes would not be tolerated.

The meeting served as a platform for a thorough assessment of the progress of vital welfare projects and provided essential guidance to ensure their efficient execution. With the Deputy Development Commissioner’s directives in place, the focus now shifts to accelerating the pace of work and upholding the highest standards of accountability and diligence in the implementation of these schemes.
