Mother Is the Light That Illuminates Every Home: Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri

Jamshedpur: On the occasion of Mother’s Day, noted Sikh preacher Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri shared an emotional message highlighting the unparalleled role of mothers in shaping families and society.

Describing mothers as the “light by whose radiance every home shines,” Jamshedpuri said that motherhood cannot be confined to just one designated day of celebration. “Every day deserves to honor a mother,” he remarked.

 “Mother Is Like the Rising Sun”

Drawing a comparison between a mother and the sun, Jamshedpuri said that just as the sun rises every morning to illuminate the world, a mother brightens the lives of her children and family members with love, sacrifice, and care.

“If we are able to witness the sunrise every day, it is because of our mothers,” he stated, emphasizing the emotional and spiritual strength of motherhood.

Call for Greater Respect Towards Mothers

Expressing concern over the growing disconnect in modern society, he said that if Mother’s Day is to be celebrated in its true spirit, old-age homes should no longer exist and society must ensure dignity and care for elderly mothers.

He further stressed that affection displayed on social media platforms should not remain symbolic or limited to photographs and online messages. “Digital affection must transform into genuine love, respect, and responsibility towards mothers,” he said.

Jamshedpuri highlighted the countless examples of maternal devotion found in everyday life and Indian cultural traditions. He noted that mothers willingly endure hardships and make lifelong sacrifices to provide their children with good values and a secure future.

“A mother can even snatch her child back from the jaws of death,” he said, adding that Indian scriptures and traditions have long revered mothers with divine status because of their selfless devotion.
