Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar reviewed the extended Gram Swaraj Abhiyan and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana on Friday. He also sought updates on the performance of the district level coordination committee. He directed all block development officers (BDOs) to declare their respective blocks open defecation free (ODF) by 30th July this year. He asked the BDOs of Baharagora, Chakulia and Dumaria to improve their style of functioning and speed up work on pending projects.
The DC directed the Deputy Development Commissioner B Maheshwari to inquire into the construction of toilets under MGNREGS in Jamshedpur block. He also ordered action against Mukhiyas accused of irregularities in the construction of toilets.
