Jamshedpur: Members of Lions Club of Jamshedpur Femina visited a remote village Lapiabera near Chowka on Friday and planted fruit saplings to support the villagers.
The village situated in the interior area surrounded by forest, houses 11 families. Deprived villagers are forced to spend their livelihood on a small piece of land.
Members of Lions Club of Jamshedpur Femina planted 35 fruit trees so that villagers can earn when plants start bearing fruits.
Palash Hazra discovered the place and guided the lion members. President of the club Nilakshi Jaiswal, Vice President Namita Bhattacharya, Secretary Sarika Singh, Treasurer Abha Rungta, Dr. Sushma Rani, Dr. Manju Rani Singh, Anita Kumari and others were present at the event.
