Jamshedpur, March 27: Deputy Commissioner Arava Rajkamal inspected the Judia Nala behind the Punjidungri Kali Mandir in Jagannathpur Panchayat of Gamharia Block as also nearby areas to develop the places as tourist spots. The DC also held discussions with local panchayat representatives and villagers to find possibilities for further development.
The villagers briefed Arava Rajkamal about water and other persisting problems and suggested that the Judia Nala be widened to enhance its capacity for water conservation. The DC said that he would hold a meeting with forest, irrigation and other departments and draw up a blueprint to launch the repair and renovation of Judia Nala and convert viable places into tourist spots.
It may be mentioned state Health minister and district 20 point implementation committee chief Banna Gupta had assured villagers to develop the areas as tourist spots. It was at the initiative of the Minister that the Deputy Commissioner inspected the places. BDO Gauri Shankar Sharma, CO Manoj Kumar, Mukhiya Prabha Devi, Deputy Mukhiya Durga Tiwary, panchayat Samiti member Rajni Tiwary, Banna Gupta Fans’ Club members Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Virendra rai and Kamaldev Rai, forest department officials and employees and a large number of villagers.
