Jamshedpur, May 4: Lockdown-3.0 has been promulgated in Jharkhand in continuation with the earlier nationwide lockdown. This measure has been adopted to prevent spread of the highly infectious COVID�19 prevailing worldwide. In order to check the lockdown measures that have been put in place at inter-district and inter-state borders Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla today visited the Jamshola checkpost on the Jharkhand-Odisha border along with his Mayurbhanj (Odisha) counterpart and SP of the district and conducted a joint inspection. Senior officials of both teams gave police personnel and magistrates on duty necessary directives regarding checking of vehicles going through the border checkpost. The personnel were asked to maintain safety against COVID-19 infection while conducting intensive vehicle checks.
DC Ravi Shankar Shukla said that Mayurbhanj and East Singhbhum district administrations were well equipped to meet contingent circumstances due to vehicular traffic flow through the border checkpost and were alert to all developments. Others who accompanied DC Shukla during the inspection of the Jamshola border checkpost under Baharagora Block included SDO Ghatshila, BDO and CO Baharagora and other officials.
