DAV Bistupur students take oath to vote

Jamshedpur, May 2: DAV Public School, Bistupur, organized a notable event as part of their Voter Awareness Programme. The school invited Nirmala Kumari Barelia, the Regional Joint Director of Education for the Kolhan Region, to preside over the oath ceremony held within the school premises on May 2.

In the presence of dignitaries, including the school Principal, Pragya Singh, the Voters’ Oath was administered to students of classes X, XI, XII, and teachers.

Nirmala Barelia in her address insisted on the need to create awareness and promote voter literacy in Jamshedpur. She advised the students to enlighten their parents. relatives and neighbours to cast their vote in an ethical manner.

Commending the school’s efforts in ensuring safe drinking water facilities for all students, Barelia also touched upon the recent academic achievements of East Singhbhum district, boasting a commendable 94% pass rate in the JAC Board Class X Examination. She highlighted initiatives undertaken by the District Education Department to recognize and celebrate academic excellence among students following the CBSE curriculum.

Furthermore, Barelia proposed the implementation of doubt clearance sessions and remedial classes on Saturdays to support students across various grades—an initiative aimed at enhancing academic performance and addressing individual learning needs.
