Jamshedpur, Nov. 16: Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry will be arriving in Jamshedpur for a two-day visit, on Tuesday.
Considering Mr. Mistry’s visit, Tata Steel and Tata Motors have completed all the preparations from his welcome at the venues he will be visiting. To avert any untoward incident, East Singhbhum district administration has imposed Section 144.
According to sources, Cyrus Mistry will arrive in city on Wednesday. He will visit Tata Steel, Tata Motors and will also participate in the ongoing program tribal conclave at Gopal Maidan.
Mistry is also slated to inaugurate the new building of XLRI. Tata Motors management had written to the administration about their chairman’s visit, and acting on the same, Dhalbhum SDO Alok Kumar ordered imposition of Section 144 as there are possibilities that some political groups might want to meet Mistry forcefully.
In reference, SDO Alok Kumar said, “JMM party workers and supporters with their demands might want to meet Tata Sons chairman and obstruct his visit.
To keep any untoward incident at bay, district administration has ordered to impose section 14,” Kumar added.
