Saudi airstrikes hit key Yemeni oil terminal and telecom hub

Airstrikes hit key targets in western and northern Yemen on Sunday, according to reports from the Houthi movement. The attacks targeted a major Red Sea oil terminal and a communications facility.
Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported that warplanes struck the Ras Isa port in Hodeidah province. The strikes hit both a port berth and a commercial vessel docked at the facility.
The television channel attributed the aerial bombardment to Saudi forces. Officials have not yet released details regarding casualties or structural damage sustained at the oil terminal or ship.
Another airstrike targeted a telecommunications facility situated southeast of Saada city. Authorities reported no immediate casualties from the attack in the northern Houthi stronghold of Saada province.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea stated that 75 air and missile strikes hit eight provinces over a 24-hour period. He claimed these recent attacks resulted in civilian casualties.
Sarea stated the total number of coalition strikes reached 3,830 since the latest conflict escalation began. Independent sources could not immediately verify these military figures.
Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition announced that its defensive systems intercepted incoming threats. Coalition forces destroyed a drone and a ballistic missile launched by Houthis toward southern Saudi Arabia.
Cross-border hostilities have escalated significantly in recent weeks. Saudi strikes continue hitting Houthi-controlled regions while the group launches missiles and drones toward Saudi territory.
The ongoing war has devastated Yemen since late 2014, when Houthis seized the capital city of Sanaa. The Saudi-led coalition subsequently intervened in 2015 to support the government.
