Seraikela, May 26: Cyber criminals are reportedly creating fake Facebook profiles under the name @DCSeraikela, sending friend requests and suspicious messages to people across the district. The district administration has issued an alert urging residents to stay vigilant and not to engage with these fraudulent accounts.
Citizens have been advised to report and block the fake profile immediately if they receive a friend request or any unusual communication from it. The administration has also warned against responding to any demands for financial support or personal information, as these could be attempts at cyber fraud.
An FIR has been filed at the Cyber Police Station, and efforts are underway to trace and take strict action against the culprits.
