Ranchi, July 5: Chief secretary Rajbala Verma on Tuesday directed all the DEOs and DESs to make CRP, BRP including school management more accountable to prevent drop out at schools in Jharkhand.
Verma said that accountability of CRP/ BRP should be assigned by schools so that in case of irregularities, action can be taken. At the same time, she directed CRPs/ BRPs to upload inspection report on website every day.
Directing the department she said that a special cell should be constituted and monitored daily. She directed that the department should develop such software on GIS mapping that it can access the up-to-date status of daily report uploaded by CRP/BRP.
It was also suggested to make a war room for its successful implementation. Laying stress on 90 percent attendance, she directed to make a profile of such schools which perform poorly. †All infrastructural and ††amenities related information should be given in the profile. She said that the target of 25 labs and libraries in every district is nearly complete.
Verma said that attendance of the teachers in all schools should be made indispensable. For this the mukhiyas should be intimated through letter and press.
She recommended dissolving the inactive school management committees and in place of them, new committees should be formed and trained through workshop at block level. She also insisted on making calendar of schools for health check-up. †
The CS said that bank account of all the children studying in govt. schools should be opened by August 15. Aadhar card of children should be made and collected for opening their bank account. The banks which are not giving account number even after opening it should be enlisted and sent to the department. BLC meeting should be done at block level. †
She directed to pay the teachers for the month of July through seeding on the basis of DBT. She also said to ensure bio-metric attendance in all the schools by the end of July so that the salary of August can be linked with bio-metric. She said to make a list of affiliated and non-affiliated schools of every district.
In order to improve the standard of education, she directed to hold extra classes from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Schools will be accountable for bad result.
Education secretary Aradhana Patnaik, Mukesh Kumar and Manish Ranjan were present in the meeting. †
